 Rating:  - Outstanding book for OntariansFor Ontarians there is nothing like Ontario. I strongly encourage every citizen of Ontario to explore his or her own backyard first, before even dreaming of expensive and usually unfulfilling European or Caribbean vacations. There is so much to see and do right at home. Ron Brown's books are an outstanding contribution to accomplishing this task. This particular book is the best in his series. Even non-Ontario residents will find this book extremely interesting. I waited about 6 months to get this book through Amazon even though it is "in stock", before finally buying it at the local bookstore where it was available all along. Rating:  - So much to see in OntarioFrom the Peterborough Petroglyphs, through the Niagara Escarpment Cedars which are hundreds of years old, to the Ouimet Canyon in Northern Ontario: Ron Brown has collated and written commentaries on a large number of interesting and intriguing sites in Ontario for residents in and travellers to the Province to visit. From natural treasures such as the Elora Gorge and Point Pelee to stately historical buildings such as Castle Kilbride and the Thomas Foster Memorial, the book describes places where generations of Ontarians have interacted with their natural environment and preserved and built on it.
