 Rating: - Footprints poem - the musical soundtrack!This is a CD for anyone who's ever struggled in their faith due to pain and problems in daily life. It's got to be one of the most inspirational recordings I've ever heard. It's so simple - a couple of guys and a girl singing along with a piano - and yet it'll blow you out of your socks with how powerful it is. I was going through one such struggle myself a few days ago, and I prayed and asked God for reassuance. The very next day my Selah CDs arrived in the mail from Amazon.com. To put it simply my prayers were answered. I put the CD on and began doing the dishes. All the way through the disc I was pulled alternately between wanting to jump for joy and weep with gratitude. Rating: - A Wonderful AlbumBe Still My Soul is a wonderful album with all the favorite hymns and songs. It includes my favorite hymn, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow". The album is rich with great vocals and a sweet melody. It contains songs such as "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", "His Eye Is On The Sparrow", "It Is Well With My Soul", "When I Survey The Wonderful Cross", "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power", "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus", plus more! These hymns are great for praise and worship in a setting outside of the church. Selah is an awesome group that I wish would come to my church to sing! Read More: Rating: - God's work at its finest!I recently had the privilege of attending a Selah concert here in Michigan. I have been hooked on this group since I first heard the "Press On" CD. We had a seat to the side of the stage and watched in awe as Allen Hall wove musical magic at the keyboard. He also has a beautiful singing voice - very different in style from Todd and Nicol. All one has to do is see this group in concert to know that God is alive and well in His people. I would buy this CD for any one of its songs alone. If you like this recording, you will want the rest of their work. Selah is like no other Christian contemporary group I have heard. |
