For a guy that's retired, Garth still manages to keep himself in the spotlight at least once a year. Maybe he's restless; maybe he's just so damn smart! Occasionally putting out a song connected to a movie or a special event or an album of tracks that got cut has kept Garth on the charts at least once a year since he "retired."

Now comes the "Ultimate Hits." This compilation of his whole career to date is a great set. I hadn't listened to much of his stuff lately but as soon as I bought this set and popped the cds in, it's really amazing how much I remember liking all these songs from the first time they were released. Go ahead, do it yourself and you'll find yourself singing along to pretty well every song on the 2 discs. The new ... Read More:

I will be the first and honest person to say that I do not care for Garth Brooks. Maybe it is only in interviews I don't like him but I will give him credit for recording some great songs. I listen to this album at work to promote it and the very first day, it was not on for 5 minutes and it was sold. The song, of course, that I enjoy the most is his new one that is on there "More Than a Memory" and the song "In Another's Eyes" are my favorites. Give it a try and see if you enjoy it as much. I am swallowing my old opinion about Garth Brooks to tell you that this really is a great album.
