If we could keep the story aside for a moment, which in and of itself is very powerful, the components of the movie: music, cast, acting, and direction are brilliant.
You will be glad you spent the time watching this film.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.ca/review/RFA54G5PIQEDX My favorite scene is this one; upon hearing it I cried. This film as a whole and in every part is extremely well done. The acting is a great as the story and should not be overlooked by anyone.

I loved this film. It is difficult to find films these days that are entertaining but not superficial. This movie had a great balance of comedy and seriousness. Very uplifting. Great family film although there are some parts that may be too much for young children (i.e. descriptions of the treatment of slaves).

When I first saw this movie I had thought it was about John Newton the man who wrote the hymn, but it is so much more. Based on the struggle of William Wilberforce to end slavery in England, this is powerful movie about morality, force of character, and God's Grace. Superb film making. I would love to see more of this kind of cinema!

This movie was incredibly well-acted and the story astonishingly well told. I went to the movie expecting it to be some dry old documentary reenactment, and I was pleasantly shocked to find that this movie about Wilby Wiberforce sucked me in and took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. This movie is powerful and really advocates the grace of God. This movie is my all time favourite. I recommend it to anyone, even if you're not into God. Amazing Grace is a fascinating historical piece, and draws you into its wonderful presentation of past events that have helped to shape our modern world. Amazing grace, was, simply Amazing.
