I guess since I saw this movie during its opening weekend, (aka. sans a hipster crowd), while there was no hype surrounding it, my expectations where pretty low. I was not impressed. The soundtrack was the best part but I found the entire movie to sound too scripted. It seemed as though Juno Macguff was far too witty to be believable. Everything was too rehearsed and unnatural. If it weren't for Michael Cera and Jason Bateman, I might have left early!

It's a decent movie with an overstylized script and a distracting soundtrack. I found Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, and Michael Cera more interesting in their roles than star Ellen Page. She's a fantastic actress but she had to spend most of the movie acting like the long lost sister of Rory Gilmore. Movie needed less of a "Gilmore Girls" influence and more of a "Freaks & Geeks" vibe. Mildly recommended.

I expected nothing when I saw this movie & It was a happy surprised by the story telling & the performance of "Juno". I truely recommend this movie. It is very different & refreshing!

Don't think of me weird, but I think Pregnancy (and birth) is a beautiful thing in a woman's life; But for teenage girls, well...if you want to go around with a huge belly for 9 months that's fine; but think about birth (and also the child); It's a bumpy road to take, just ask 16-year-old Juno MacGuff in this great film about dealing with growing up/tough decisions and what I think "the funny side of teen pregnancy."
I love the character of Juno, Ellen Page's performance is perfection as she is able to deliver both comedic genius and show the painstaking emotion that any pregnant teenager would experience. Juno may be sarcastic, decisive and entertaining, but she is also uncertain, afraid and just a kid. Page's ability to show the ... Read More:

"Juno" is the story of a girl with that name who unexpectedly becomes pregnant at the age of 16 after a one-night stand with a nerdy, unassuming guy. The story follows the travails of this girl who is seeking to find the right family to adopt her child, as she is unable to raise the child herself at such a young age.
I found this to be one of the best dramatic comedies in a very long time. The realism, the emotions, the acting are all great. Ellen Page's performance dominates the film and signals the arrival of a major new talent on the silver screen. The film is also filled with cool music and keen observations about today's youth. Highly, highly recommended.
