.Rick Steves' Paris by: Rick Steves October 10, 2007 I'd just like to make a comment and correct some assumptions made by other reviewers. His statement about America bringing "peace, prosperity, and democracy" to Iraq under the "benevolent" guidance of Bush is sarcastic. If you look on his webpage, you will see several political essays by Rick Steves, and find out that he is very much against the war in Iraq, and also very much a liberal. That being said, I did not really notice any overly-liberal comments in the book. That was the only political comment I read, in fact - and I was just as shocked as previous readers until I decided to do some Google searching on Steves's political opinions.
