Before my first trip to Belize, I bought several travel guides. The title of this book suggested an orientation toward the more active, adventurous traveler. From the way the author wrote, I don't think that she could have kept up with my 8-year-old.

She seemed to value places that were quiet and comfortable. She seemed a bit intimidated or uninformed about some of the more active jungle type adventures.

Belize is a great country to visit, both for the adventurous and for those who like to lie around on the beach. However, I bought this book expecting information about the more challenging types of vacation.
