*spoilers*
Ok, I decided to divide my review into two parts-the good and the bad. Of course, it's just my opinion:
The good thing about this book is that Bella does become a vampire. I don't know about other people, but ever since New Moon began, I wanted to scream at Edward to change Bella (honestly, what's the point of waiting, it's not like they are not going to end up together).
Unfortunately, I think that the book is more bad than good. Jacob fans, you might be gratified that Jake gets his happy ending, but it's really sort of sick that Jacob imprints on a baby girl. And what's with Bella getting pregnant? Stephenie Meyer should honestly take a course in human and growth development; that your bodies DO need to change ... Read More:

I bought this book at an airport for lack of finding anything else to read. I finished it in 2 days. Now that is good...and bad. I have to admit that the story captivated me, but it was too easy to read...way too easy. I liked the characters, but towards the end, I wished Bella would stop mentioning just how good looking Edward was all the time! If I had read this at 15, I would of loved it. Now at 25, I've read too much to appreciate it fully. I have to admit though, the way she described how she was feeling the first time she was in love really did bring me back to being 17. But this is the thing, it felt like a harlequin novel for teens, with the twist being that she's in love with a vampire. Which is what intrigued me to read this book in the first ... Read More:

The first time I read Twilight, I did NOT like it unlike 98% of those who read it but I decided to give it a chance and re-read it and found the book was better the second time but still overly hyped and mediocre. I was so intrigued and curious about what would happen to Bella and Edward that I decided to read "New Moon"; it did not disappoint.
New Moon is a more well written book (that doesn't sound like fanfiction-like Twilight) and is far more mature. It's a great read. The book is full of action and emotion that is written in a way that you can't put down the book. It drew me in intensly and I found myself feeling, fearing for the characters. The characters were better developed and more interesting in this book. The introduction of werewolves ... Read More:

There really was no saving point in this book. Bella was as annoying as ever. We were supposed to feel sad for her, yet there wasn't a moment where I didn't wish she would be killed just so the story could move onto someone more interesting.
Jacob, who was the only saving point of the last book 'New Moon', spiraled down into a jerk by physically forcing himself on Bella (twice) and then having the nerve to stand back for a bellowing laugh. I suppose it was lucky that his sexual assault didn't borderline anywhere near rape, yet what really irritates me the most is that Bella's reaction to his assualt was played off comically by both Jacob and her father Charlie. WTF?
This isn't even the start of Eclipse's problems. Then there's Edward, who ... Read More:

. Artemis Fowl The Time Paradox
City Travel Guides > Books > Teens
by: Eoin Colfer
July 15, 2008
Those who have been faithfully following this series will know that this is book six of the adventures of the teenaged criminal mastermind, Artemis Fowl II.
Picking up at Fowl Manor, we learn that three years have passed while Artemis was otherwise occupied, and that he now has two brothers, twins named Beckett and Myles. This book goes in a different direction to the previous plot, making no mention of some of the characters introduced in The Lost Colony. There are references to certain events, but other than the main characters, most of the story is new material.
As the title implies, an older and more mature Artemis Fowl enlists the help of his friend Captain Holly Short, dwarf Mulch Diggums and the imp warlock No.1 to journey to the past ... Read More:

. Plague Ship
City Travel Guides > Books > Teens

June 03, 2008
I love Clive Cussler and Jack Du Brul, but if they don't do better in future books in the Oregon Files series they won't keep me as a reader.
The base story of Plague Ship could have only come from the imaginative mind of Clive Cussler. Jack Du Brul is a brilliant writer when it comes to describing difficult escapes.
Unfortunately, the base story overwhelmed Jack Du Brul so that the book is threadbare in character development, almost devoid of menace derived from the villain's plots, and missing obvious elements to make the book's premises more credible. I found myself wondering why the book was so poorly constructed except in the excellent escape sequences involving the crew of the Oregon.
The book opens with a historical sketch ... Read More:
