Most of the ideas listed are things that most people would come up with on their own and some of the things listed were just wrong...for example, we showed up at the Victor Emmanuel monument early to see the big iron gate descend (as noted in the book) and not only was the opening time wrong but it turns out that all they do is open a door in the gate. I particularly liked the sidebars that clued you on places to eat near the attractions, like the inexpensive US Department of Agriculture cafeteria across the street from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and the fun facts. Not only does it list descriptions of the sites, but also includes; age appropriate guidlines and kid-friendly "eats" for each destination. Many of the suggestions are geared for kids age 3 and up. Quite a few are for kids of all ages.
