On the plus side, this book has some good suggestions and fairly comprehensive.
On the down side, it makes no mention of Disneyland Paris, a glaring omission in a book titled "Paris with kids"
The maps (especially) and overall text are superior in "Take the kids Paris" in my opinion.

This wonderful book has been highly recommended by my Tahiti specialist Jean-Louis aka Meherio from FlyTahiti.com.
The suggestion to purchase this book was found on Polynesianislands.com Tahiti forum with many similar recommendations from long time Tahiti travelers.
According to our travel agent, this book could almost have been the only thing to pack prior to our trip with the children, great advice and suggestions that helped us to keep within our family budget and maximize the fun. We also loved the restaurant suggestions on Moorea like, Le Bateau restaurant or the children's favorite, the Aito restaurant near the Sheraton.

I used this small book (easy to carry everywhere) on a recent trip to Paris. I found it incredibly helpful in trying to decipher menus, and when we sat near other Americans they clearly were jealous of this handy guide.

In addition to menu translations, this book also contains useful tips about dining out in Paris.

We own every European travel book that exists. I can honestly say that this one is by far the worst one I have seen, hands down. The coverage of accommodations is sparse and only includes extraordinarily expensive hotels, for the most part, and the dining recommendations are little better. There are no unique tips in this guide and it really covers 6 cities, and not very comprehensively. I give an extra star for making the attempt to write a kids travel guide, since they are not common.

I sat down with this book at the bookstore for about 20 minutes and decided not to buy it. The book supposedly contains lists of cheap places to stay in all 50 states, which it delivers on. However, a lot of the places listed are Motel 6 and Super 8 type places, which you could very easily find on your own. What I was hoping to find was a book that listed independently owned motels that were clean and quiet, maybe with a very short review by the author of why it was the perfect place to stay in that town. These types of motels are difficult to find in advance, since they don't have the advertising budget that large chains have.
