.Insiders' Guide to Michigan's Traverse Bay Region City Travel Guides > Books > Insiders by: Mary Bevans Gillett, Sally Gamble June 01, 1998 This book was the only source that I could find that would provide such detail on things to to do in the Traverse Bay Region. It lists tons of resteraunts, lodging sites, and things to do (very detailed social night life section). I only wish they would rate the lodge sites and resteraunts. .Insiders' Guide to Olympic Peninsula City Travel Guides > Books > Insiders by: Rob and Natalie McNair-Huff October 01, 2001 Insider's Guide to the Olympic Peninsula is a must. The book is well organized and the "inside tips" are great. I have purchased several books on the Peninsula, but they only give you descriptions of the hiking trails, some history and geology. That's good, but I need to know what to do when I am not hiking. That's where the Insider's Guide is great. It gives recommendations and information on restaurants, lodging, museums, stores, festivals and much more (there is some hiking information).
