The first reviewer was right; not a lot of bang for the buck. It's more of a sappy love story the further the plot progresses. Not to mention that the DVD itself comes in a cardboard case, rather than a traditional plastic one, allowing for the inevitable bends and creases due to standard delivery practices. As a lover of Futurama, I HAD to get this to add to my collection, but, in the future, I hope they try to focus more on the comedy.

This is a shameless money grab. It's pieces of 3 totally unrelated episodes which were already aired as a third season, crammed together to make a wholly incoherent movie.
The "uncensored" bits are gratuitous swearing. If you're expecting nudity, expect to be disappointed. There's a bit of skin shown late in the movie, and no, it's not Six.
The problem is the comedy itself doesn't live up to the first 2 seasons, and even those weren't hilarious. If you want a funny, intelligent sci-fi animation series, get Futurama. It's clever and subtle. Everything Tripping the Rift isn't.

i found this movie to be funny and risqué.it's also very fast
paced.it's based on the animated TV show,which i am not that familiar
with,having only seen it once or twice.the movie is a bit convoluted at
times.if you watch it,you will no why.also not being very familiar with
the show,there were a few minor characters i knew nothing about.i am
familiar with the main characters.anyway,you might want to watch some
episodes of the TV show before viewing the movie.i don't think it's
completely necessary,but it might help a bit.regardless,this is a very
funny,enjoyable movie.it's not for young kids though.for
me,Futurama:Bender's Big Score is a 4/5

Three stars is high praise for a show like this, it DID have it's great parts, but on the whole, it shows little indication that the directors or the voice artists even WATCHED payed attention to the characters they were basing it off of!
The characters are unlike the originals. Case in point:

DAFFY DUCK -- One of the worst voices for Daffy I've ever heard! He has his funny lines, but when making a movie with Daffy Duck in it how CAN you even AVOID funny lines? This classic character (created by Fred Avery) is my favorite cartoon character. Why did they have to spoil him like this?

BUGS BUNNY-- Bugs Bunny's voice is bad, too. But aside from that, Bugs is OK (one of the few characters who is).

the first time i saw this movie(or at least,part of it)was at a friends
house,but i was so tired,i just didn't get it.and then i fell
asleep.well,sure enough it shows up on premium cable and i
thought,forget it,i'll watch something else.but for some strange
reason,i couldn't change the channel.any way two minutes turns into
about 90 and before i know it,the movie was over.i could have done with
at least 30 minutes more.oh,well.the point is,i loved it.i mean,this
movie had everything-riotous crude and vulgar comedy,lots of
sex,violence,nudity(with marionettes(puppets)of course).nothing is
sacred in this movie.everybody,including politicians and actors are

We rented this dvd and I was very disappointed. A major portion of the show doesn't even have scooby or shaggy in it. Glad we rented this one instead of buying it.

Get the two-disc version, you won't be disappointed! Unearthed films have done an EXCELLENT job on this set - the look, sound, packaging & DVD extras are all top notch (Thank You, Unearthed, you've done it justice). I remember seeing it on CBC when it first got released (1983) & I've waited till it got it's proper release on DVD till I bought it. This was draw by the great Canadian Nelvana animation studios, therefore the labeling of the Canadian version on the second disc as the alternate version is misleading, anyway, it's Nelvana's best animation ever. Highly Recommended.

This movie managed to kick some serious [backs] despite the inevitable attitude most viewers, myself included, must have taken to it on the first showing: "Ugh, another pathetic Disney sequel to disappoint the original?!"

Not so. Charming and entertaining is "Patch's London Adventure." I fell in love with poor Lil Lightning, the Welsh corgi sidekick of the big ham of a shepherd star, Thunderbolt. And, of course, the eccentric but kind abstract artist, Lars...the only possible love interest for Cruella, although in the end he turns away from her evil ways and she's sent off to a mental institute! A great movie.
