This is a documentary trying to make you believe there is a "secret" about how to attract and obtain more positive things happen to you in your daily life told by certain individuals such as authors, actors, mathematicians, visionaries, doctors, scientists, religious characters and some that apparently experienced "The Secret"... ok if you want to believe everything said in this video. The 2 stars are for certain of the individuals being interviewed to make us believe such a thing because they are truthfully entertaining, plus you want to listen until the end just to see how much BS they can really talk about in 90 minutes. My last words are that I'm thankful I didn't pay for this infomercial!

If someone had told me 15 years ago that one day I would be able to see Galapagos islands in all their glory without visiting them, i would not have believed them. this is definitely something that justifies 1080p HD sets and blu ray media.
Video: Like i mentioned above the video is simply jaw dropping, each episode (three in total) is more revealing that the one it follows. The textures the colours and the sharpness is even and equals to that of some of the best documentaries ever made in imax etc.
Narration: Tilda Swinton does a reasonable job with the narration, her voice is smooth but there were times when i felt it didn't really go well with the scene that she was narrating for. Not much complain here as she is mostly in line and ... Read More:

Too many people knock the Stones for being too old, and milking a die hard fan base when they should supposedly be looking into their retirement plans. There is certainly no evidence of that on this DVD. Having seen the Stones almost every tour since "Some Girls", the boys are playing better than ever. Keith and Ronnie are playing off each other superbly while Mick continues to amaze with his energy levels, while Charlie never misses a beat. This is some of the tightest playing you will see them do. The film is full of absolute classics, but rarely played in their stadium shows - parts of the film are a joyous tribute to Exile on Main Street. I teach several media studies courses at the post-secondary level and am currently developing one on the post-9/11 renaissance of the independent film documentary -- everything from the Michael Moore phenomenon, through the anti-Bush and anti-war films, to the works inspired by the inconvenient truths told by Al Gore. So I have studied a lot of films that pack a heavy punch. But *Manufactured Landscapes* is the most stunning one Ive seen to date. The Yeatsian phrase a terrible beauty is hardly sufficient to describe it. Its just a knockout.

Excellent series and very inspirational, even for non-riders such as myself. I think it must sum up all of the very best and worst aspects of motorcycling; the freedom and pleasure it brings as well as the adversity and pain that comes with it. The people that Ewan and Charlie meet along the way are all gracious, the landscape is so varied and breathtaking, that even someone with no connection to motorcycling would find the experience an enticing arguement for buying their first motorbike, as is my case.

I have only seen a part of this set, and it is on my wishlist because it's rather pricey, but WOW!!! It shows us everything we take for granted...and from what I saw, it is the best documentary to date on this planet of ours.
