This show just keeps getting more and more intriging with each episode. It is so unfortunate there was a writers strike last year leaving us with only 11 episodes of season 2. However, there 11 episodes we did get are great. New characters are being added and the suspense is building. Who's good? Who's bad? Who can be trusted? A lot of interesting surprises await veiwers of this season and I for one cannot wait for season 3 to start. There's a small preview of season 3 on the last disk, doesn't really set up much but gives you an idea of the direction the show is about to head into. Some darker times await these Heros, I'm sure. So grab some popcorn, pop in these disks and enjoy the build up season 3.

Criminal Minds does an excellent job of challenging, and changing your thinking process, as well as keeping you on the edge of your seat. When Criminal Minds came out 3 years ago, it was something fresh and new, as oppose to the usual Law & Order or CSI stories. Criminal Minds focuses more on the psychological aspect of the criminal, but on the crimes committed as well. You see the character grows and go through life changes in this series. In season 2 we seen Ella (show Character name) leave (after a questionable shooting, and this season we will see someone else leave (which I am not going to mention use, just incase someone has not seen from this series). One of them must be "Blade Runner in its many varied and excellent versions. This film is what sci-fi is all about. Instead of wasting time on gratuitous blood squirting, the story is much deeper with not only a message but a question.

For better or for worse this season tweaked forever the original style of the X-Files, which had maintained a rather closed-in, claustrophobic feel. The producers decided to make a change, perhaps in light of the X-Files feature film they had been working on, to give the show a more movie-like look and feel. So now we see more open spaces, more light and colour, and much larger settings. A hardcore fan would likely resent this change, as something special and atmospheric is lost, however what is gained is a more present-time, present-place visual reality which opened up new possibilities for storytelling and artistic concepts. This is an excellent show. But is this a drama? Is this a comedy? I think this is the best of all worlds, a drama with humour that fits within the story coming naturally from the characters. No artificially punchlines with canned laughter inserted before short attention spans gte distracted.
It's about the characters. They took the time to develope the characters, they have backstories, they are individuals, they react differently and may even have thier own agendas. Including House's boss who admits she sets aside money just to pay the lawyers the hospital needs after House's antics (because 'he's that good of a doctor').
