This is the first biggest loser workout DVD that I purchased. I like it for a few reasons. One you only need a set of hand weights for equipment. Two, the ability to use three different levels with the option to customize your workout later is nice. Three, when your done you feel it.

I teach several media studies courses at the post-secondary level and am currently developing one on the post-9/11 renaissance of the independent film documentary -- everything from the Michael Moore phenomenon, through the anti-Bush and anti-war films, to the works inspired by the inconvenient truths told by Al Gore. So I have studied a lot of films that pack a heavy punch. But *Manufactured Landscapes* is the most stunning one Ive seen to date. The Yeatsian phrase a terrible beauty is hardly sufficient to describe it. Its just a knockout.

For anyone with the curiosity to peek inside the Chinese machine that feeds Western shopaholism, this film is a must-see. It does not -- repeat NOT -- intercut its scenes of Chinese industrial ... Read More:

Okay, I've been meaning to deal with my feelings about this DVD release for some time now. Here goes...

It would have been nice if other reviewers had remembered that they were rating this DVD release, not the TV show itself. As such, HBO has received ratings for this DVD release that are ridiculously high and quite simply not justified. Congratulations on telling HBO that their viewers are suckers who will pay anything for their favourite shows in any substandard format.

The video quality is so grainy and poor that it looks like it was downloaded from the Internet (at a low resolution). This makes me pause to wonder what the show would actually look like downloaded from the Internet - TV static, perhaps? - but I digress.

Note: It really really helps to know the Stargate Characters before
viewing the movie.

I have been a fan of Stargate since the beginning. One of the great things
about this series is there is filming outside and its not all CGI and
studio shots.
When i purchased this movie, i was ready to be entertained up to a point,cause we are talking about Stargate...they can only do so much...
I got caught by surprise...the mood was great...nice to see all of our
friends back together..and we also have a great earh invasion scenario.
The special effects was just enough to stir emotions and really enjoy
the movie...along with good acting and a good script.
Love the Antartica scenes and the F15's.

Excellent series and very inspirational, even for non-riders such as myself. I think it must sum up all of the very best and worst aspects of motorcycling; the freedom and pleasure it brings as well as the adversity and pain that comes with it. The people that Ewan and Charlie meet along the way are all gracious, the landscape is so varied and breathtaking, that even someone with no connection to motorcycling would find the experience an enticing arguement for buying their first motorbike, as is my case.
