An equal match to the first superb season, quality-wise, better than season two (well, that one was different, anyway) the third season is just great viewing. Like all great film, it starts with the writing. Tight and inventive to say the least. (These guys know how to tell a story.) And then there's that cast. Simply great chemistry. Understated excellence. No spoilers here but between the ideas in this series, the overlaying metaphor, the symbolism... This is easily the best stuff on TV and far better than most recent film. (Yes, I know there's alot of great film too. I mean commercial film. You know, the kind that unfortunately makes money.) I just finally got the third season - our tv channels are way behind in carrying the episodes. This season did not disappoint. As usual Kyra is incredible, and Privenza and Flynn are hilarious. However, I really liked the stories with Brenda's parents. Barry Corbin is great as the father, but Frances Sternhagen as Brenda's mother really steals the show. I also liked that we got to see more of Jon Tenney in these episodes. However, my favorite was the last two parter of the season. Extremely compelling and heartbreaking story. Kyra Sedgewick and the writers deserve an emmy. One of my favorite shows and a great show exemplifying that strong women can be effective and efficient when leading a team of men.

For better or for worse this season tweaked forever the original style of the X-Files, which had maintained a rather closed-in, claustrophobic feel. The producers decided to make a change, perhaps in light of the X-Files feature film they had been working on, to give the show a more movie-like look and feel. So now we see more open spaces, more light and colour, and much larger settings. A hardcore fan would likely resent this change, as something special and atmospheric is lost, however what is gained is a more present-time, present-place visual reality which opened up new possibilities for storytelling and artistic concepts. The third season of One Tree hill has got to be the most strongest emoitional and most suprising season Haylie and Nathan try to reconnect Peyton finds her biological mother Lucas is stuck in a love triangle and brooke finds a new enemy rachel a new character who you just love to hate the season also brings kieth back to one tree hill and Dan becomes mayor but the season is well knopwn for it's tragic 16th episode.
I dont want to give all the details if you have not seen it but this season will not dissapoint it will get you more hooked than the last 2 seasons I got it the other day and brought it home and ended up watching the whole season I was that hooked.

Living in Germany it is not always easy to get a hold of the fresh and funny American sitcoms.
After season one was rudely placed into the Saturday afternoon broadcast window in Germany, I bought the first season on DVD and enjoyed it very much. I knew that there has been a second season, but I couldn't buy it from the US.
By accident, and I mean a really lucky accident, I saw that it was released in Canada and bought it instantly. I don't regret it at all: the second season is as excellent as the first, the jokes seem almost funnier - a wonderful season.
Even the import fee of 5 Euros doesn't annoy me the slightest.

This dvd hasn't been released yet, so why would anybody review it? More to the point, why am I reviewing it right now? Well, just to tell you that you should buy it, as I'm going to.

I saw every episode of this second season of "Bones" up to this point, and I'm happy to say that it is even better than the first. From my point of view, this great tv series combines originality, interesting whodunnits and characters that make you laugh, and sometimes even think more than usual. It is entertainment, but good entertainment, the kind you can recommend to others, exactly what I'm doing right now :)

One of the best and original science fiction shows ever created for television. Quality writing and amazing characters. If you buy this DVD series watch out, I guarantee you'll be begging for more. Firefly rocks. Even people that don't usually watch Sci-Fi end up loving it because it's different.

Also check out the movie "Serenity" that followed Firefly.
It was voted best science fiction movie from a poll taken by the BBC. It even beat out Star Wars!
Although Serenity came after the TV series, it may be best to watch it first rather than later because you learn important information at the begininng of the movie that explains the setting of Firefly.
