A very long time ago...about 5 years, I noticed Cats was going to be on a TV channel. I was busy the time it was on so I taped it. Unfortunetly, I set the wrong time on the VCR so it cut out at the end of "Mr.Mistoffelees". I loved what I saw of the show, and was very disapointed that I didn't know how it ended. A couple months later I found the DVD. I immediatly bought it. (Earlier that month I had bought a DVD player) I loved the ending, as well as the rest of the show. My favorite songs are Mungojerrie & Rumpleteazer, Memory (of course) and Macavity: The Mystery Cat. However all the songs are fantastic. I watch the movie all the time. I love a good music DVD....I own over a hundred. This is one of the best outdoor, live recordings, I have found to date. It is one thing to record in a concert hall where most things are under the producer's control, however, outdoors can be intimidating. Then to have the recording live where you only get one chance at it really puts the pressure on.

In this DVD you will find well lit sets, superb surround quality with excellent separation, and intelligent mix-down that adds to the "I'm really there" feeling. Just about as good as it gets! BTW: The songs aren't half bad either.

When I first heard the CD's it was readily apparent that the instrumental accompaniment was much richer. But Loreena's voice is just as dazzlingly beautiful and enchanting as ever.

However, when I watched the DVD - I was absolutely blown away!

The interaction of all on stage is phenomenal. You can see and feel the energy riding the musical currents that were created that night.

It is an awesome DVD and any who have only heard the CDs - I emphatically encourage you to get and watch/listen to the DVD.

This is a fractured fairy tale done right. The lives of fairy tale inhabitants intertwine, mesh and often collide with humorous, uplifting and heart-wrenchingly sad results. Bernadette Peters steals the show utterly and completely, of course, but the remainder of the cast deftly work their magic too. Highly recommended, with different story points appealing to different age groups. Just utterly magnificent.

I watched this movie in a music class, It was soooo confusing, and a little on the dirty side oh and not to mention creepy.
Okay here's a tip, HOW ABOUT WE DON"T SLIT OUR DEAD WIFE'S WRIST???SICK SICK SICK
and HOW ON EARTH IS THIS PG??? DID THE PEOPLE RATING THIS MOVIE FALL ASLEEP BECAUSE ITS SOO BORING???
I'll admit this was a good movie if you're older and like music but just don't show teens.

There's no question Queen's musical legacy lives on more than seventeen years after their last album with Freddy Mercury was released, although they never 'officially' disbanded, and all it takes is hearing The Darkness, Miko, The Killers and Panic At The Disco, to name a few, and you'll recognize the signature Queen sound and how it's influenced new generations of musicians. I bought this dvd because, when i saw it for the first time (like 10 ten years ago) was the best sung version and the cast was superb. My favorites are the direction of Chailly (i find it great, dinamic and precise), the voice of Pavarotti (ONLY the voice, the acting sucks) especially singing my favorite aria "possente amor mi chiama", and giving a high D that i liked much. Now, i prefer the on-stage versions, so i don't like this DVD anymore. But i consider that this could be, in some way, a referencial version about what Rigoletto is musically...

Wow, how can you not love Clint Eastwood's singing? This movie is fun and hilarious. A little action and a lot of laughter. The characters are witty and the plot is creative. I would recomend this movie to anyone, unless you don't agree with drinking, smoking and gambling. Just watch the movie and enjoy.

it's a good movie with an awesome soundtrack, whenever i listen to it, i sing it all day long ! the storyline's a little bit been here, done that, but still, Johnny Depp makes all the difference. i would definitely recommend the movie to any Grease fan or to anyone for that matter !!!!
