This is a great series. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves dogs. And if you live with one or more dogs, it is a MUST HAVE.

I have lived with dogs all my life and I am in my fifties. I have read widely on the nature of dogs, and their relationships with one another and their humans. The thing about Cesar -- and any accomplished dog trainer -- is less about a particular theory or school of dog training than about his or her seemingly native ability to move into their psychic space, economically, quietly, and confidently. Like Suzanne Clothier, Cesar is fully present. Their body language says to dogs, instantly, "I get it. I understand. You are safe with me. You can trust that I will lead you."

If we could keep the story aside for a moment, which in and of itself is very powerful, the components of the movie: music, cast, acting, and direction are brilliant.

You will be glad you spent the time watching this film.

I tried (years ago) to order this item from Reader's Digest, only to have had it cancelled. I was delighted to be able to purchase it at this date. I (and my husband) thoroughly enjoyed it. As a piece of history, I wasn't bothered by it as I did not buy it for that reason. I purchased it to be entertained... and I was. I think Peter O'Toole is a fabulous actor (as were others).

For the purposes of my review of Beer League, I want you to forget about Howard Stern -- more to the point, don't judge your potential enjoyment of this movie based on your dislike of the infamous shock jock. I for one do not care for Stern (and I had no idea Artie Lange was ever involved with the radio show), but I pretty much loved this movie. Sure, it's tasteless and juvenile and has to rank near the top in terms of its curse words per minute average (the MPAA's R rating is based on "non-stop language" among other things), but you know what? I say this is all about boys being boys -- Jersey boys being Jersey boys, to be more exact. The content of this and the second in series is exactly what you will find on tv (sans commercials). No in-depth descriptions of how to complete the jobs. I was slightly disappointed in this respect.

This was a dissapointment. When I first watched the movie, I almost fell asleep during the first act. If I was you, just skip the entire first half and go right to the dancing snowflakes. The first act had no interesting roles dance wise. The second half was pretty good(dance roles of the sweets....hot chocolate,candy cane,etc.)Any part with Culkin was a drag, in the fact that his dancing was horrible and the steps that he was given were horrible too. The girl that played Marie looked like she could have been a good dancer, but they flunked out when giving her a role with no ballet dancing. If you are a fan of ballet dancing like me, I would not recommend this version of the Nutcracker. The only good parts were the dances of the sweets and the snowflakes, ... Read More:

I have had this DVD for about a month. Way easier if you have done yoga a few times before in a class. The sessions are 20 -50 minutes and really good for stretching not sure if it's leading to weight loss though. The pace is not too fast and the instructor is excellent.
