You know how some girls like the bad boy types? Well this little nugget appeals to all types of girls & boys alike! I haven't been a HUGE fan of KID ROCK's but when I heard AMEN on the radio, I was intrigued. I also had heard "TOO HOT" which makes you curious....After getting the CD, I love to play it over & over. It's a very diverse mix of good/bad & dirty! LOVE IT! I think my favorite at this moment is "NEW ORLEANS". Play it loud!

Personally, Nu metal, In the sense of Slipknot Or Korn.. or take your pick of about any of the other thousand or so bands that sound pretty similar. I feel like I've kind of grown out of it. Which is a shame.

I wish I could listen to Corey scream away somewhat aimlessly like he did on their debut album, simply pissed off at just about everything. and enjoy it the way I used to.

But Aside from rare occasions I really don't get much from the old slipknot albums. For me Most Nu metal albums don't age well.

So if this album was a carbon copy of their older stuff I would have pirated it, then I most likely would have let it rot away on my itunes to never be played.. to simply be there.

Over the years, there have only been a small handful of bands that have released three consecutive #1 albums; Van Halen, Metallica and U2 to name a few. Disturbed is part of that group. This disc is the band's follow up to "Ten Thousand Fists" and there's no danger of their winning streak being broken any time soon as this is lucky number 3 for the band. In contrast to her comparatively sparkly and streamlined debut, Kala is clattering, buzzy, and sonically audacious, as well as a significant expansion of M.I.A.'s already big tent of sounds and her own work as a performer.

I loved listening to the first two Linkin Park albums with my kids. They loved songs like Breaking the Habit, Nobody's Listening etc. About the only one I would skip was One Step Closer (even though it ruled) because I didn't want them telling each other to shutup. However this has been killed with this album. Can't listen to it with my kids. So what fun is that? If I want to hear the f word I'll buy Green Day or something. The songs are still good but the apparent attempt to get more street cred knocks it down a few notches.

For some reason, things never really took off for this talented young UK soul singer when she first emerged four years ago, all freshness and light.
Unwilling to settle for also-ran status, she upped sticks to the States and made some powerful friends.
Now resident in New York, the London lass gets an international makeover. Cue Kanye West guest slot, John Legend in the control room, with Will.i.am, Mark Ronson, Wyclef and Cee-Lo lending helping hands.
