This one isn't as over-all good as, say, The Witching Hour, but still good, so four stars. Love these guys. Standout songs: Runaway, Deep Blue, Versus. Worth the price.

Nostradamus (Super Deluxe Boxset)

The two previous reviews have it right. As an older fan who has followed Judas Priest from the early 80's, this album is a welcome relief from the dirth of power chord only nu metal and shock rock which requires little or no musical virtuosity. Priest have proven themselves over the years and a concept is nothing new to older Rock fans and for a major band to produce one today is risky. For the skeptical, please listen to this album in it's entirety. It's not the type of album that is a all catchy hooks and chorus. The music will diversify with each listen. This album stands up to many listenings, and never seems to get tiresome. The material is a compilation of the traditional and contemporary songs popular during Cuba's musical heyday in the 1920's and 1930's, though it's just as listenable today.

Tropical, sultry, romantic -- a listen can transport you to an island paradise, or provide background for a relaxing evening. If you like this CD, especially the romantic ballads, I'd recommend Ibrahim Ferrer's solo album. Too bad these masters were rediscovered so late in life that may have precious little time left to further enrich us with their talents.

Kanye droped the bomb on this one. He used his terrific verbal skills to lay down fantastic lyrics and had some amazing beats. Some of the hard to pick favorites are "Flashing Lights", "I Wonder", "Good Life" & "Everything Iam" (Gotta love the premo turntable scratchings!). Overall this album is grand and was one of my favorite buys. Legendary album for sure. Everyone forgot all about 50, but who cares his time in the spotlot was long gone. Cop this album kids! You wont regret it and you will talk about "yo I have this legendary kanyeezy album, wanna pop it in" when your older. He's the new generation of hip-hop. Everyones gotta have this one!

It has a rather dumb title and it doesn't offer anything new, but Complete Clapton is actually a pretty good compilation, particularly for those new to Eric Clapton. Most of his major hits are present, presented chronologically and remastered. Disc one is essentially Clapton's 1995 Cream of Clapton disc; other than switching Blues Power for Lay Down Sally, it's the same disc track for track, covering his career from 1968 to 1981. The second is basically an update to 1999's Clapton Chronicles, covering his music from 1983 to 2006. Luckily, it avoids too much duplication from that disc (which was pretty lackluster) by including tracks from his Money & Cigarettes, From the Cradle, Riding With The King, Me & Mr. Johnson, and Road to Escondido albums, which ... I have been waiting for another CD from Loreena McKennitt. And it was well worth the wait.

This CD is just as beautiful and wonderful as all the rest of her CD's have been. She creates moments of bliss and wonderment.

Sheryl Crow has been a singer I have enjoyed ever since I first heard her on the radio. As a best of cd, this ones very good. Like some other reviewers on here I still remember the first time I heard Soak Up the Sun and All I Wanna Do on the radio. I also love First Cut Is the Deepest.
