First of all, the interface in Microsoft Office is excellent. It looks great and will help you get things done quicker - but for the expensive price of even the cheapest version, you're better off settling for the free OpenOffice suite which has a more traditional interface that you are probably used to if you've used previous versions of Microsoft Office or Corel WordPerfect.

I owned the Zune 80gb for two days before I was underwhelmed enough to return it. Microsoft lured me in with supporting dvr-ms recorded tv files and alas - it "no workie". It seems the dvr-ms files created in vista are not the same as the dvr-ms from XP Media Center Edition (my OS). So unless I buy a vista upgrade I can't watch my recorded tv shows on the shiny new zune.

Rather than use more cash for new operating system I decided to use that extra cash for the iPod Touch and it was the best decision I've made in a while. The zune headphones were nice, the 80gb was plenty but the Touch is in a class it's own, sorry Microsoft, I'm a iPod guy now.

I have been trying unsuccessfully for the past 6 hours after installing Leopard to get my printer to work. This new operating system does not recognize my driver and after several uninstall install attempts I still cannot print.

The most infuriating thing is the damable alert that keeps telling me to install the printer - after I have been told the printer software has been successfully installed!!

Now here's the punchline: The only reason for this purchase was to use boot camp to clean up a problem that developed from corrupt windows files. Since the beta version had expired I had no way of reformating the hard drive and reconfiguring a windows partition. But because the printer won't print, I cannot print the instructions ... This is a very enjoyable and well-finished game. It's aimed squarely at people who like to solve puzzles, but it should also appeal to people who like gadgets and unusual machines.

The puzzles start out very easy, but get more challenging as you go on. The early puzzles are designed to teach you about the user interface, and about the function and purpose of the various crazy parts that you can build into your machines.

Occasionally the solutions depend on the exact placement of parts to get a somewhat 'fluky' result, but usually this is not the case.
