First of all this is a great RTS castle building game. Second, unlike a previous review, the game does not take 5 minutes to load and will not crash with only 40 troops. In order to play this game,you need a computer that has the recommended hardware. A pentium 3.2 gig, with a Nvidia or ATI video card with 256 megs of RAM, 1 gig of computer RAM is also recommended. Then make sure you defrag your computer. Next make sure you have ALL the latest patches and upgrades for your computer and the game. Video card drivers must be updated to the latest available. The game also has a 1.3.1 patch that is needed to be downloaded and installed.

Silent Hunter 3 is pretty much the most satisfying game I played in 2006. After you've stalked a convoy for what can literally be hours, I literally yelled at the computer when my torpedoes hit their targets, and yelled louder when they didn't.

Plus, the dynamic campaign gives it a whole lot of reply value, and the system of purchasing upgrades is a nice touch.

The only downside to this game? It uses Starforce copy protection, which can wreak havok on some computers.

I owned and played Homeworld & Homeworld: Cataclysm before buying Homeworld 2. Heck, they were the reasons why I bought this game. To make the review short and sweet, the game was great when it came out in 2003 and it still is today. Graphics are good, the gameplay is satisfying (you can be more precise on what parts of ships you can hit), and the audio is fun to listen to. My only complaint is that there's no Pilot View Camera like in Cataclysm. Using the PVC on fighters turned the game into a Star Wars movie-like battle.

On a personal level, I still think the fleets of the Ki'ith Somtaaw faction from Cataclysm look better than the Exiles' ships.
