. Tales/Crypt Pr. Bordello
starring: John Kassir, Dennis Miller, Erika Eleniak, Angie Everhart, Chris Sarandondirected by: Gilbert Adler
January 05, 1999
Bordello of Blood is the second Tales From the Crypt movie, and I found it very enjoyable. Unlike the first movie (Demon Knight) this movie did not start out with the television show's opening. It opened more like a movie than an extra long episode. Bordello of Blood is the story of a down-on-his-luck private investigator (Dennis Miller) looking for a missing teenager. The search leads him to a funeral home that is a front for a bordello run by vampires. Miller's client tells him to drop the case but he really needs the case to succeed if he is going to get his license back. Miller investigates and plays a very savvy investigator who doesn't fall for anyone's lines and is not surprised by what he finds. Added to this is television ... Read More:

. Tale of Two Cities
starring: Peter Cushing, Chris Sarandon, Barry Morse, Flora Robson, Nigel Hawthornedirected by: Jim Goddard
September 08, 1993
. . .it was a good watch anyway. Chris Sarandon was outstanding in the roles he played of look-alikes Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton. He captured Carton's sardonic humor well, and evoked his melancholic fatalism and innate dignity with much pathos. A quite elderly Kenneth More put on a great performance as the officious but kindly banker, whose character provided much humorous dialogue. The character of Miss Pross, the sharp-eyed chaperone, was absolutely wonderful. I never expect a movie to follow a novel very closely -- books and films are two completely different art forms and cannot be translated one to the other with good effect. As the movie begins we see the words "Based on the novel by Charles Dickens." With those words we are ... Read More:

. Just Cause
starring: Sean Connery, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Capshaw, Blair Underwood, Ed Harrisdirected by: Arne Glimcher
February 01, 2000
A flat by-the-numbers who-do-it kind of mystery movie. The actors gave fine performances, given the script they had to work with. But the story lacks intrigues. Characters are not memorable. The action sequences are perfunctory. The major mystery this movie offers is why apparently the director was OK with all these shortcomings. Don't bother to try to guess ahead of the movie, as many would like to do with a mystery. This movie just isn't worth your effort. Otherwise in the end you might have the frustrating feeling that you've given the movie more thought than the filmmakers appeared to have done.

. Lipstick
starring: Margaux Hemingway, Chris Sarandon, Perry King, Robin Gammell, John Bennett Perrydirected by: Lamont Johnson
May 29, 2001
The late Margaux Hemingway saw her movie career take a nosedive after the release of this film, while her co-star and little sister Mariel became the toast of the town. But to many cinephiles, she'll always be remembered as the woman in red holding one mean rifle. Margaux plays Chris McCormick, a top fashion model (no stretch at all, here, since she really was a top model at the time) who ends up regretting her decision of having innocently invited her sibling's music teacher (Chris Sarandon of "Fright Night" fame) to her apartment. While she cries rape (with the help of Academy award winner Anne Bancroft as her attorney) the judicial system, however, sees it differently. LIPSTICK is the ultimate B-movie extravaganza. Raw to the bone, it is avant-garde cinema with a glossy ... Read More:

. The Resurrected

i didn't really like this movie.i found it boring for two thirds.not a
lot happens.and then, once things start happening, the movie gets pretty
sickening at times.i don't mean that in the "Saw"series kind of
way.this is much different than that.to me,it was just too much.you'll
have to watch it to see what i mean.i also thought the movie was kind
of confusing at times, but that may be just me.i thought the acting was
good, especially by Chris Sarandon as the main character/villain in the
movie.i don't think the movie was badly done.the makeup effects,i
thought were pretty good, just too disgusting.if you have a lot of
patience to get through the slow parts, and you have a really strong
stomach, you might like this movie.or maybe ... Read More:
