This all time classic Walt Disney film, will get your heart pumping with feelings of joy and love. It will show you that love can be found in unexpected places. This fairly tale takes place a long time ago. Belle¢s father, an inventor, was on his way to a fair, but took a wrong turn and ended up at a castle. When he doesn¢t return home, Belle sets off to look for him, and in turn becomes a prisoner in the ferocious beast¢ castle, where it¢s filled with talking furniture, who in the end turn back into there human form. . Hunchback of Notre
starring: Gary Trousdale, Tom Hulce, Demi Moore, Tony Jay, Kevin Klinedirected by: Kirk Wise, Gary Trousdale
March 04, 1997
Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" follows the themes of all of its movies, an outcaste hero, a evil villain and a beautiful heroine. The animation details bring the characters to full life and action, as does the comedy that is supplied by Quasimodo's three gargoyle friends. This being a Disney movie, the characters brake into song every 10 to 15 minutes. The songs add and expand the plot in a way with would catch children's ears. The songs are also sung be the characters voices in real life which adds to the effect. The plot is well developed and the theme of tolerance plays well to parents wanting their children to watch something that "teaches life lessons". I would highly recommend this movie to any parent who wants their kids to enjoy themselves ... Read More:

. Oh, God!
starring: Carl Reiner, John Denver, George Burns, Teri Garr, Donald Pleasencedirected by: Carl Reiner
August 02, 1993
As much as I really like this movie, I wish there was a box set including the two sequels. The original is the best, easily, but with the amount of movie series coming to dvd it would only make sense to have the trilogy. "Oh God Book Two" is lackluster, for the most part, but "Oh God You Devil" is quite a corker (with George Burns playing a dual role as God and the Devil). This is a low-key, laid back kind of movie. This might seem insufferably tame and sedate by many of today's young moviegoers, especially in light of manic "comedies" such as "Bruce Almighty" which had fun with religious-themed humor. But for those of us old enough to remember it- and to remember the sly wit of George Burns- it is a treat ... Read More:

. Pocahontas Journey/World
starring: Irene Bedard, Jim Cummings, Donal Gibson, Finola Hughes, Linda Huntdirected by: Bradley Raymond, Tom Ellery
August 25, 1998
This movie was soooo BORING!!!!! Well okay it was ok at the beginning but near the end I was thinking to myself "I'll only like this movie if she chooses John Smith!" And guess what? SHE DIDNT!!!!! GRRRR it makes me heartbroken! I looved the Lion King 2, Peter Pan 2, and Aladdin 3 (Aladdin 2 was reeeally bad heheh) and I havnt seen any other sequals unless you count Fantasia 2000 which I think doesnt seem like a sequal at all, more like a whole new movie! But back to Pocahontas... I LOOOOOVED JOHN SMITH!!! I know that the person I borrowed this movie from is only keeping it to expand her disney collection... (she has probably almost all of them) and if Ariel can see Eric once, fall in love, take some time off and finally come up with a plan to see him again (which, when ... Read More:

. Better Off Dead...
starring: John Cusack, David Ogden Stiers, Kim Darby, Demian Slade, Scooter Stevensdirected by: Savage Steve Holland
May 23, 2000
John Cusack has done some campy flicks One Crazy Summer and Better Off Dead. This one far exceeds the first. There are so many funny scenes I don't know where to begin. The soundtrack although disappointing on the CD will not disappoint on the DVD. Too bad no additional footage or goodies like that. To me this was John Cusacks best movie. Favorite Moments (Close your eyes and remember) 1) CHRISTMAS! DO THEY HAVE CHRISTMAS IN FRANCE? CHRISSSSMASSS! Opens picture of Ricky and goes outside and laughs for about 5 minutes on the front step. 2) TWO DOLLARS, PLUS TIP! I don't think there can ever be a more evident line for a movie than this. All you have to say to someone is "TWO DOLLARS!" Chances are if they saw this flick they will say "BETTER ... Read More:

. The First Olympics: Athens 1896
starring: Hunt Block, David Ogden Stiers, David Caruso, Alex Hyde-White, Benedict Taylordirected by: Alvin Rakoff
June 22, 1994
If you have 280 minutes to spare, this is an engaging and enjoyable account of the first modern Olympic games, held in Athens in 1896. At such a length, one might expect a tedious documentary approach, but instead we get a nicely-paced story of privileged young men enjoying some pure athletic rivalry and old-fashioned male bonding. This film manages to avoid Chariots of Fire's melodramatic themes while still delivering an exciting depiction of those first Olympic games, where athletes competed because of their simple desire for greatness.

. Doc Hollywood
starring: Michael Caton-Jones, Michael J. Fox, Julie Warner, Barnard Hughes, Woody Harrelsondirected by: Michael Caton-Jones
April 06, 1999
This is a cute movie and holds your attention. Speaking about attention, I'm not saying that Julie Warner is like Hedy Lamar; but they both where the same suit when they come out of the water (birthday.) And George Hamilton plays a similar character as he does in "8 Heads in a Duffel Bag" (1997). I am glad it is not one of those letterbox (have to look at the black lines) pictures. They are ok but distracting when not necessary.
Dr. Benjamin Stone is on his way to try out for a new job as a high paid plastic surgeon. Due to impedance in the road, he is forced to detour through a local fence. The fence just happened to be owned by the judge. When the judge finds out that Ben Stone is a doctor, he requires Ben to pay with community service and the story snowballs from there.
Will Ben ... Read More:
