.Mousehunt starring: Nathan Lane, Lee Evans, Vicki Lewis, Maury Chaykin, Eric Christmas directed by: Gore Verbinski May 22, 2006 I've alway been a Nathan Lane fan, but when I purchased this movie for my 3 and 9 year old daughters, I never imagined it would become one of my all time favorite films. The whole movie starts by building each character so that you know the type of person each is, before the two are bound together as brothers to sell "The missing Larue". Nathan Lane and Lee Evans steel the show with their acting and slap stick comedy. I've never seen such a perfect mix of on screen personalities. These two act as intelligent, but lacking any common sense brothers who try to sell an inherited house. The house is worth millions, but the brothers get greedy and decide to auction the house. Chechik August 26, 2003 All too often, I have found the words "National Lampoon's" to be synonymous with "not funny," but National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is actually a pretty entertaining film. Christmas at the Griswold's turns out just like you would expect it to, with Clark (Chevy Chase) trying to persevere in the face of one disaster after another. With the whole family coming over, he wants everything to be perfect -- from the Christmas tree he finds and cuts down (er, digs up) himself to the thousands of lights he staples all over the house. .Pink Cadillac starring: Clint Eastwood, Bernadette Peters, Timothy Carhart, Tiffany Gail Robinson, Angela Louise Robinson directed by: Buddy Van Horn August 01, 2000 Although I like GM cars, Pink Cadillac stands as being the worst movie of Clint Eastwood's career. He plays a modern-day bounty hunter by the name of Tommy Nowak that uses skill rather then a gun to catch his suspects, although he does carry a gun briefly here. Bernadette Peters plays this little curly-haired blonde who lives in a trailer with her dead-beat husband and his speed-freak friends. Her husband owns a pink cadillac and she drives off in it with her baby and a bag of money. Nowak is then sent to bring her back from a casino before her husband's gang finds her first. When they do, and kidnap the baby, Nowak and Peters bond when they give chase to get it back. The movie is red-neck and full of trailer trash stereotypes in every way. It also helps define the ... .Forget Paris starring: Billy Crystal, Debra Winger, Joe Mantegna, Cynthia Stevenson, Richard Masur directed by: Billy Crystal January 13, 1998 This is not a great movie, but I have to admit it is better than most romantic comedies out there. There are at least two or three "laugh-out-loud" moments (my favorite is the pigeon scene), but for the most part it is just okay. I thought my lack of enthusiasm could be attributed to the fact that this is more of a "chick flick," but alas, my wife felt the same way. .Love Is All There Is starring: Renée Taylor, Joseph Bologna, Lainie Kazan, Barbara Carrera, William Hickey directed by: Renée Taylor, Joseph Bologna June 06, 2000 When I first saw this movie it was by mistake-but-am I glad I did. I was laughing so hard that I had two pillows over my mouth as so I would not wake up my wife and kids ! There are some low foul parts that really didn't have to be in this movie but most of it will keep you in stitches. The Grandmother and many of her comments and questions are priceless. Lainie Kazan was 10 times better in this movie then the Greek Wedding ( She was perfect in her part as the "Past the flower of her life" mother still trying to hold on, her efforts were Oscar worthy ! This is one movie that will really make you laugh. The daughter played by A. Jolean was as always worthless as the son wasn't much either,but is was the parents that made the show. .Sea of Love starring: Al Pacino, Ellen Barkin, John Goodman, Michael Rooker, William Hickey directed by: Harold Becker January 29, 2002 Sea of Love is certainly a better than average steamy crime thriller, but it didn't really bowl me over. Pacino's very good, of course, and Ellen Barkin more than holds her own against him, but Pacino's character can become tiresome after a while, and what I regard as a pretty sizeable red herring thrown into your lap midway through the story makes the ending a little less dramatic. I'm not saying the mystery is predictable - it's just not that shocking of a surprise. Frank Keller (Al Pacino) isn't exactly Steve McGarrett material when it comes to his career as a detective, mainly because the guy is basically pretty pathetic. His wife left him for another detective on the force, and he's not handling that very well - drunken calls in the middle of the night to his ex-wife are not uncommon. ...
