. Devils, the
City Travel Guides > VHS > Horror
starring: Vanessa Redgrave, Oliver Reed, Dudley Sutton, Max Adrian, Gemma Jonesdirected by: Ken Russell
September 25, 1991
This movie, partly based on The Devils Of Loudon, by Aldous Huxley [author of Brave New World, Brave New World Revisited, among others] features Oliver Reed, as an indiscreet priest, doing very unpriestly things with a young daughter of a nobleman, and Vanessa Redgrave as a demented nun. It centres [centers] around the "possession", supposedly, of a town, and the convent in Loudon, after the religious wars of the 1630s. Moderately acted, a few familiar faces appear in the movie (i.e., to viewers of British films and television); including Dudley Sutton [Tinker in the Lovejoy mysteries and John Woodvine, who appeared in the "Armageddon Factor" in the Dr. Who series]. After the Protestant/Catholic religious wars are ... Read More:

. Gremlins
City Travel Guides > VHS > Horror
starring: Hoyt Axton, John Louie, Keye Luke, Don Steele, Susan Burgessdirected by: Joe Dante
August 10, 2004
i liked "Gremlins" a lot.i thought it was well acted and funny.it also
had some black humour, which i liked.i liked the look of the
gremlins.they would probably be scary for some children.they are quite
freaky looking.i thought the puppetry was amazing.for the most part it
really looked like these creatures were doing what the movie showed
them doing.the gremlins were hysterical at times in what they said and
how they acted.this is my idea of a good horror/comedy.it balances both
elements well.it think the potential was there for the movie to be
really awful, but good writing makes all the difference.anyway,i really enjoyed
the movie.for me,"Gremlins" is a 4/5

. I Saw What You Did
City Travel Guides > VHS > Horror
starring: Joan Crawford, John Ireland, Leif Erickson, Sarah Lane, Andi Garrettdirected by: William Castle
August 24, 1999
William Castle's B thriller is very suspenseful and ideal for dark, late Saturday night viewing. Top-billed Joan Crawford is dressed glamourously throughout, although her character barely makes it half way through the picture. It's also rather obvious that she came directly from "Strait-Jacket", and this would cement her as a camp icon. Of course, you can't help but think, "Mommie Dearest, I promise I'll be good!" Two teenage girls (Andi Garrett and Sarah Lane) bored on a Saturday night, decide to make prank phone calls (oh, those glory days before caller ID!), and use the interpretive phrase, "I saw what you did - and I know who you are!" Be careful how you dial, girls, because macho psychopath John Ireland has just ... Read More:

. Keep, the
City Travel Guides > VHS > Horror
starring: Scott Glenn, Alberta Watson, Jürgen Prochnow, Robert Prosky, Gabriel Byrnedirected by: Michael Mann
November 03, 2000
The Keep is one of those lesser known horror movies that is quite successful in creating a supernatural atmosphere and virtually mesmerizes the viewer. The acting is superb, the music is haunting, and the visuals are exciting to watch. The scenes involving Gabriel Byrne and Jorgen Prochnow are the best that either actor has ever done in film. I strongly agree with others that this film should be released on dvd with extra footage. Even if Paramount charged double the normal price for such a product, I am certain that they would make more than enough profit from all the horror fans out there. Let's keep on bugging Paramount, people, then maybe they will get the hint sooner rather than later!

. Blade Runner
City Travel Guides > VHS > Horror
July 14, 1994
Blade runner is one of the best sci-fi movie. As said befor by many, the director's cut is a little better than the original, I have personally seen the three version, the original theatrical version, wich is very soft has been released only on VHS, the international version (with the naration of Harrison Ford) is a little harder with more goulish sequece (this version has been release on Laserdisc) and finaly the director's cut wich give more insight of the caracter of Deckar and the possibility that he may be a replicant himself without knowing it as Rachel. But hey wait good news who loved that movie. Warner will release december 18th 2007 a 5 discs box set and gess what all three version will be available and a new final cut of the movie will be also availaible plus some ... Read More:
