. Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice
City Travel Guides > VHS > Cult Classics
starring: Terence Knox, Paul Scherrer, Ryan Bollman, Ned Romero, Christie Clarkdirected by: David Price
Who can ever forget the gloomy classic "Children of the corn" with its dark, beautiful, and gloomy melody and of course...it WILL make you laugh...because it promises more guffaws then terror. Micah, the new leader which is a shame for the Isaac fans, is showing his world from his eyes...but with a demonic demon possessing him and trying to regain followers which loses the almost flawless purpose of the film. It takes a turn here, as all Stephen King films usualy do and it is actually a "Disease" that Micah and the children are being possessed by, and He who Walks Behind The Rows does play a small role...note, small role. Same point to the original as the novel where Stephen King gave out his rough draft to the masses. A few reviewers here say-well a few who ... Read More:

. Trog
City Travel Guides > VHS > Cult Classics
starring: Joan Crawford, Michael Gough, Bernard Kay, Kim Braden, David Griffindirected by: Freddie Francis
July 28, 1998
"Trog", the last film in the illustrous career of film legend Joan Crawford has gone done into cinematic history as one of the biggest and most embarrassing "monster", movies ever to be conceived. Joan Crawford of course nowadays is sadly fair game for any type of attack and "Trog", is a favourite target by her many detractors. Harsh summaries of it run to the fact that Crawford was supposedly drunk all the way through production, that it had one of the lowest budgets of any horror film made in England and that it made Crawford totally unemployable after its release thus becoming the sad final note in a brilliant career. Certainly no masterpiece, "Trog", despite some laughable moments is far from the worst horror film ever made ... Read More:

. Phantasm
City Travel Guides > VHS > Cult Classics
starring: A. Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury, Reggie Bannister, Kathy Lester, Terrie Kalbusdirected by: Don Coscarelli
August 01, 2000
after watching phantasm,i can say there is no other movie quite like
it in the horror or any other genre.i really enjoyed it.it wasn't scary
per Se but it did have some suspense.the acting was good and i actually
cared about the characters, which is rare in many movies."the tall
man"was(and still is)a very unique and creative character.Angus Scrimm
plays the tall man and makes him very menacing, yet also humorous at
times,as evidenced by some of his one liners.it's refreshing to see an
actor really get into his/her character and enjoy themselves.this is by
no means an academy award calibre movie, but it doesn't aspire to be.the
director knew what he wanted, and didn't try to make it more than it
is.this is what makes ... Read More:

. Swamp Thing
City Travel Guides > VHS > Cult Classics
starring: Louis Jourdan, Adrienne Barbeau, Ray Wise, David Hess, Nicholas Worthdirected by: Wes Craven
August 01, 2000
This film is based on a well know comic book character.
Lab accidents do happen. Doctor Alec Holland (Ray Wise) can attest to this. Of course this is the standard don't mess around with nature movie that is overlapped with a greedy bad guy Dr. Anton Arcane (Louis Jourdan). I think Louis gets a kick out of playing bad guys; he gets so enthusiastic. Alec gets all swampy and still gets the girl, Alice Cable (Adrienne Barbeau). He better hope she is not a vegetarian.
Bottom line is when you reach into the medicine cabinet be sure you know what you are taking and do not get the plant food.

. The Brain That Wouldn't Die
City Travel Guides > VHS > Cult Classics
starring: Jason Evers, Virginia Leith, Leslie Daniels, Adele Lamont, Bonnie Shariedirected by: Joseph Green (II)
September 05, 2000
You think you really know the woman you love - until you take her decapitated head, put it in a pan, and keep it alive with your own special blend of neck juice. Dr. Bill Cortner (Jason Evers), a new-breed doctor who bravely goes where most doctors (at least, those not named Frankenstein) fear to tread, could have just let his fiance Jan (Virginia Leith) die after her head gets chopped off in an auto accident. Instead, he grabbed her head, hustled it up to his personal lab, set it up all nice and neat in his own special recipe of life-maintaining gravy, and went out in search of a new body for the woman he loved. But does Peggy appreciate everything Bill has done for her? Nooooo. Not one bit. All she does is turn into the mouth that wouldn't shut up and makes "you should have let me die" her new mantra. ... starring: Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Allen Nelson, John Vernon, Michael Siegeldirected by: Stephen Chiodo
August 21, 2001
(The following review/comment is my personal opinion of the movie.)
wow.i thought this movie was lame-o.i think this bomb was supposed to
be a comedy.but that assumes laughter would be involved, and you know
what they say when you assume.bottom line, not funny, not even mildly
amusing.it is however, stupid.i'm not sure if it was supposed to be
scary or funny,or both.but to me,it was neither.this was truly a
painful experience.i'm sure some people would enjoy this movie, but it
was completely lost on me.i give Killer Klowns From Outer Space a 0/5

. A Bucket of Blood
City Travel Guides > VHS > Cult Classics
starring: Dick Miller, Barboura Morris, Antony Carbone, Julian Burton, Ed Nelsondirected by: Roger Corman
June 06, 2000
Poor Walter Paisley (Dick Mlller). No one notices him in his dead-end job as busboy at The Yellow Door coffeehouse. Day after day he watches and listens as beat poets and musicians get all the attention and accolades. Then, one day, Walter accidentally kills his landlady's cat, covers it in clay, and -presto!- a new artistic master is born! Soon, the beatniks are at Walter's feet, begging for further expressions of his genius. Walter knocks a cop (Bert Convy) in the noggin with a skillet, turns him into a statue, and has another masterwork to show off! Unfortunately, this begins taking a toll on Walter's mind, turning him into just another pseudo-intellectual, elitist snob like the ones he'd once envied. Of course, Walter is also a serial killer, using his victims as the guts of his "art". BUCKET OF BLOOD is a hysterical look at ... Read More:
