Through many perils the two manage to survive until they are captured by Enemy Germans who are about to execute the pair as spies. The ending of this Hollywood Classic is extremely satisfying. Humphrey Bogart won his only Oscar for his role, while Katherine Hepburn chalked up another one of her 12 career nominations. This film is pure cinema-candy. How can anyone NOT love this movie??? It hasnt been restored or digitly remastered to well :( but I found it in the cheapie bin for $8 Australian, and seeing as how I remembered seeing it years ago, and also recalling it was Vanne Dammes first movie... I had to get it! The quality is not great. The sound is 1.0 and terrible. and there is no bonus features...well, except trailers to NRNS 2 + 3 plus King of the kick boxers... but I dont consider trailers any kind of bonus. After seeing the movie again, and refreshing my memory.. I gotta say... the acting is not great, the movie is pretty well dated, and the plot goes from one thing to the other with no preperation ... Cooper December 01, 1998 Do yourself a favour -- buy this version! It has an story line "beaty and the beast" which as a feminist I have to remember was made in 1933 and accept Fay Wray as the typical fainting female of the era. The story is well-written and the acting supurb. Yes, it is dated, but it is creative and original. It's one of the DVD's in my collection I never get tired of watching. I was devestated when Universal Studios, California removed the ride taken directly from a scene in the movie. The special effects are dated but state of the art at the time and I don't mind the stilted fight between Kong and the Dinosaure. But all the Bruce Lee collection is equally good except Game of Death because he isnt in the whole movie because he died while filming. Bruce is so fast with his feet its no wonder he is amazing on screen i love this movie and the collection and you should check them out. The dubing isnt too bad but not great. You are all correct. This is not Gor in the true novel sense. Gone are the tarns, the strong caste systems, gone are the true kajiras, and especially the plot of the book that the movie shares its name with, Outlaw of Gor. But do I toss it away and say to heck with it? No. Why? Well, to be honest, I love the books and have read the majority of the books. I have lived a lifestyle of Gor rt with rt slaves, I explore online Gor with Frees and slaves I know. And then there is this movie. This movie does have its charm about it. Its like going back to the days of old and those really campy Hercules movies of the sixties and seventies. Along with those Jason of the Ar. movies. .Desperate Journey City Travel Guides > VHS > Action and Adventure starring: Errol Flynn, Ronald Reagan, Nancy Coleman, Raymond Massey, Alan Hale directed by: Raoul Walsh December 07, 1994 Fun, at times tong in cheek, action adventure picture that rolls just about everything one could ask for into one film. This 1942 movie is one of Flynn's best, right up there with his great ones like Adventures of Robin Hood and the more serious Objective Burma (done a few years after Desperate Journey and now on DVD). Very colorful characters, good looking visuals for the time, great tight directing by legendary director Raoul Walsh who directed a number of Flynn films included the above mentioned Objective Burma. Soundtrack is very Flynn like in nature fitting the movie perfectly. I'm not a big fan of Ronald Reagan's films, but some of his lines in this movie are classic.
