. Mexican Spanish Phrasebook
from: Lonely Planet
2003-10
First of all, UK-English phrases/words/expressions don't really apply when a book is sold to North Americans. Mincemeat being a prime example of confusion: in the UK, this is ground beef - and translated into Mexican Spanish as such.
Secondly, I found the book lacking in popular expressions, foods etc that one sees along the roadside...stalls, restaurants, stores etc. To give the publisher of this little book a break, the specific latin/spanish dictionary I have with me is not much better!
On the upside, the book is modernized to include dating situations etc, even the dumbest pick-up lines. ha ha, good for a little joke anyway.
Overall helpful, but could be way better
