Someone bought me this as a present, as I am very fond of 'The Sopranos'. The formula is to present a series of recipes allegedly edited by Artie Bucco with interjections from various Sopranos regulars (Janice remembering mealtimes at home as a child, Carmela on entertaining for a large number of guests, Tony giving his views on the conduct of a sucessful barbecue, Bobby defending food for the big guy, and so on). Compared to the series it's unsubtle, but fun too, and well illustrated with pictures of the cast and some of the dishes. Certainly one to recommend to afficianados. Oh, and the recipes do work ; I've tried some of them.

I was so excited when I received this book as I longed for god knows how long to taste the recipes Carmela was cooking in the kitchen or make the cream buns the guys munched in the office and it was worth the wait. All the food you hear in the programme the recipes are in the book. Each character has a part in the book where they show you their favourite recipes , paulie even shows you the right way to cut a garlic while Adrianna shows you what food to order to impress your man. There is alot of fan information added to the recipes. The only gripe was that some of the ingredients are not available over here however if your into cooking you will find some way to swap them over. Well worth the money and a must for Sopranos fans !!!

Not very impressed with the recipies, some ingredients i'd never even heard of, many were too extravagant. The Sunday Gravy sounds yummy but it would probably take the whole day to make, and this is used in the majority of recipies. An interesting read for any big Sopranos fan but not great for the average cook.

A gorgeous great looking book. There are lots of notes about the Sopranos and extended family and the many recipes are delicious if a little rich (I'll admit to being a little daunted by the "Sunday Gravy" recipe). A word of advice though, all the recipes are in American measures but not a real problem for all us fans!

I recently bought this book for my (Sopranos Addicted) Uncle and he adores it! Not only are there some gorgeous recipes (we made the mussels last week) but the book is filled with comments, photos and cuttings form the show. Written in Soprano style language, you really feel like this is a collection of recipes passed down the generations of your favourite mobster family straight to you!
