 Rating: - This is not the clearest mapping of IrelandIf there were no other road atlases of Ireland I could tell you that the maps in this atlas are up to date and accurate and be done with it. However as there are others to compare it with we can afford to expect a bit more than that. The problem is, put simply, this is not Ireland's clearest mapping. The web of white minor roads on a white background is wearing on the eyes. The picking out the network of secondary `R' roads in fluorescent yellow makes the maps look garish. There is no indication of terrain except little triangles indicating the position of hill summits. There are a good selection of town plans, but they are tiny things with the details shown too small making them hard to read. My test is this, if I was a tired tourist ... Read More: |
