 Rating:  - Son of a Witch?Thousands of people have fallen under the `Wicked' spell whether they actually read the book or have seen the adaptation of the book on stage. Wicked was such a fantastic success that I had doubts about this book from the very beginning and it was with much trepidation that I actually got about to reading it. However, once I was a few pages into the book I found it hard to put down. I have found that many people have fallen in love with the characters from `The Wizard of Oz' and `Wicked' and then have picked up this novel because it felt like the next part of the puzzle. This novel feeds us with more detail to the goings on in Oz and allows us into the world of Liir, a man with questionable parents and questionable morals in search ... Read More: Rating:  - Wickeder than Wicked!Absolutely fantastic sequel to wicked. I wasn't going to read this as I thought anything that tried to build on wicked was bound to be a disapointment, but I was totaly wrong. This book is far more based on the society and politics of Oz and follows Liir on his journey of becoming a man and his travels round Oz. It is so full of action and adventure I couldn't bare to put it down. |
