 Rating: - Excellent guide to hiking on the Amalfi CoastAlas that we found this book too late! It is a very well written, very detailed guide to walking over the hills of the Costiera Amalfitana. It contains maps and is all around useful. Useful tips on buses and how to get around. If you are going to the region, I very much recommend getting this book. It opens up parts of the region that most tourists do not see. Rating: - Excellent - indispensable guide to walking in the regionThis indispensable pocket guide contains a huge number of walks from bases throughout the region (including Capri) - an area of exceptional beauty, ideal for exploration, but where rugged terrain and steep cliff faces mean that paths are seldom totally straightforward - eg there are few obvious coastal paths - and guidance is required to make the most of the experience. The walks are presented in segments with plentiful ideas for combining them into itineraries - or you can make up your own. There are lots of good ideas for excursions, interesting and well presented information on things to see and do and an excellent section on public transport, which substantially cuts down on the usual planning time (although current timings ...
