Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: Based on Robert Ludlum's novel, The Hades Factor puts a bio-terrorism spin on a good old-fashioned spy thriller storyline for this tense TV mini-series. Stephen Dorff is top-billed as a former spy turned medical researcher who is pulled back into the espionage business when a new and mysterious disease erupts simultaneously in three military-sensitive regions. The target of the investigation centers on another covert operative (Mira Sorvino), who made off with a black-market virus in the middle of a government sting. The film's solid cast, which includes Blair Underwood and two Hustons--Danny and Anjelica (as the U.S. President)--helps the suspension of belief required for this sort of story considerably, and director Mick Jackson delivers the required amount of action at a brisk and engaging clip. Squeamish viewers should know that the outbreak scenes are particularly grisly for a television production. --Paul Gaita

I watched the TV show and thought is was good. so i then bought the book and watched the show again and realised it misses out at least half of the actual story and some of the chracters names are wrong. i advise everyone to read the book as it is 100 times better than the TV show.

Mainly due to the mish-mash ending which seemed a bit hurried even for a film running this length of time.Stalwart cast of Stephen Dorff,Mira Sorvino in one of her best roles to date, ever watchable Sophia Myles and ever reliable but under-rated Jeffrey De Munn. A phial containing a virus goes missing during an operation by a US Government action group that the President (Anjelica Huston) has to deny even exists. There are the usual dirty tricks, back-stabbing and infighting you'd expect but the main theme is the attempt by an Islamic Terrorist Group to infect the US with operatives infected with the virus. Will they succeed? Will Dorff and Co. save the day? Worth buying to see.
