Like so many other reviewers, I was impressed by the professional reviews, and now feel disappointed - in fact, I feel cheated. I suppose it is not really fair to review a book without having finished it. However, it really was so dull that I was not prepared to waste any more time on it. I do not get much time for reading, so perhaps someone more widely - read can explain to me: Why, tucked away at the end(page 703) there is a laudatory review/summary of the book ("This is a stunning novel..."); Why it contains some 'Themed questions for discussion'.
