.Venice and the Veneto (Lonely Planet City Guides) by: Damien Simonis February 01, 2008 I usually travel with LP so maybe I am a little biased but I did find this book up to their normally high standards. The legendary confusion of Venice's allyways meant I was wary of this book's maps (esp considering LP's less than perfect record in that regard). However I was pleasantly surprised and in 4 days in the city did not get lost using them. It was a little annoying the way they were split across several pages but i guess that was necessary to acheive the accuracy. The tips to the sights and the walking tours were exellent.
