. "The Sopranos" Family Cookbook
by: Allen Rucker
October 03, 2002
Someone bought me this as a present, as I am very fond of 'The Sopranos'. The formula is to present a series of recipes allegedly edited by Artie Bucco with interjections from various Sopranos regulars (Janice remembering mealtimes at home as a child, Carmela on entertaining for a large number of guests, Tony giving his views on the conduct of a sucessful barbecue, Bobby defending food for the big guy, and so on). Compared to the series it's unsubtle, but fun too, and well illustrated with pictures of the cast and some of the dishes. Certainly one to recommend to afficianados. Oh, and the recipes do work ; I've tried some of them.

. The Sopranos: A Family History
by: Allen Rucker
2000-11
I have to say straight off that I am a big Sopranos fan, so any additional info in book form gets a lot of stars from me. However, this book is fantastic. You can read through it or just browse through it. It is so realistic that you start to wonder if it isn't "really real". So much attention to detail, such as authentic postcards written at the beginning of the 20th century by Tony's ancestors, old photos of Livia and Johnny when they were first married, chatroom dialogs in which Meadow takes part with a secret nick, it's all absolutely fascinating. The book is well structured with separate sections referring to different aspects of the Family and the family, and a great vocabulary list of "in" terms, which also help you ... Read More:
