.Home Truths: A Jaunt Around the Decaying Heart of England by: Bill Murphy April 06, 2000 The author's tunnel vision quickly becomes tiring as he wanders pretty aimlessly from town to town, scurrying off to his home like a house proud town mouse after he has had his little dig at each place he visits, many of whose crimes merely appear to be that they're not London....a place I take pains to avoid myself. The "humour" I guess is hilarious if you don't actually understand what humour is. And all fronts. The book has many nice black and white war time photos. They show the various vehicles with they vast variety of schemes used. And the different methods used to apply them. Though I love the photo's, they are no very easy to use for reference in painting. But there are color plates of the various camouflage schemes shown in the photos and discussed. .Fractions of Zero by: Bill Murphy October 04, 2001 This is the second Billy Murphy novel and like the first is a decent 7/10 read. It is based on a FBI agent who unwittingly becomes involved in tracking down what turns out to be a serial killer. There are clues left by the killer after each murder and with the help of a mathematician, the FBI agent finds each body. The book has a number of twists to keep you going right to the end. The mathematical clues are interesting and add an extra dimension to the story. I have to confess that I wasn't glued to this book. I read it over a couple of weeks (most unusual for me as I normally finish off a novel in 2-3 days).
