It contains detailed information about the parks, water parks and Downtown Disney as well as recreational facilities on Disney property. It provides information on Disney accommodations and restaurants as well as lots of photos, which the unofficial guides lack.

The thing which makes this book fall short of essential however, is the lack of critique. The descriptions of the resorts, restaurants and parks themselves lack any element of comment or criticism and this makes the book feel like a costly extension to your holiday brochure.

This was the first book by Haruki Murakami I've read, and one of the most fascinating and refreshing books I've read in a long time. (I'm now in the middle of my third Murakami book). Funnily enough, from what I knew beforehand, this is exactly the kind of book that I know I shouldn't have liked, there's no logic in most of the stories, and most of the characters don't even have names... yet despite all this (and maybe because of this) I found the author spoke right to my heart. It was like taking a trip to some quietly weird, yet strangely familiar parallel world. Bizarre, outlandish, indefinable, defying logic... but then so is this life...
