.Vietnam (Footprint Handbooks) (Footprint Handbooks) by: Claire Boobbyer January 01, 2008 I've just got back from a big six week trip to Vietnam. I took the Footprint and the Rough Guide and used them both. Both are good but the Footprint guide has heaps more detailed information and loads more choices for hotels and restaurants. The Footprint guide has also got loads of enjoyable information on the culture and history that was good to read on the train rides. I've only used the South American Handbook before and so wasn't sure what to expect from an Asian Footprint guide. I'll definitely buy one again. The only thing I don't like about the Footprint guide is the price range thing they do for hotels. .Discover Belize, Guatemala and Southern Mexico (Footprint Travel Guide S.): Southern Mexico, Belize and Guatemala (Footprint Travel Guide Series) by: Caroline Lascom, Peter Hutchison, Claire Boobbyer March 25, 2005 Don't buy this book if your are planning on traveling on a budget, the backpacker title is completely misleading and verges on false advertising. The accommodation covered in the book is all mid to high range mostly over $25. If you are planning on staying in youth hostels this guide is next to useless, as it doesn't review any.
