A very well written book and guide to France. It has great advice on eating out. banking, driving and even buying or renting a home. Plus all the hot spots and nice places to visit off the main track.

I first read this book after about a year coding in industry and it was by far and away the most useful book I read. What you have in this book is the condensed experience of very talented programmers, it will leapfrog you forward and stop you from having to learn how to do things right the hard way.

Pls, pls don't listen to the negative reviews given here, most of the negative reviews seem to be written by either academics or project managers/BAs. The comment about this not being relevant for anyone using Microsoft technology is utterly, utterly wrong and is a reflection of the lack of experience of the reviewer. This book has nothing at all to do with the technology/language you are using.

I bought this book mainly because 2 of my lecturers are amoung the authors of this book! The book however is really useful, it helped alot during my first year and I am sure that it will continue to help during my second year. It is easy to understand and contains alot of information.

In May 2006, Andrew Robertshaw and I stood in Avril William's Ocean Villas tea rooms at Auchonvilliers. Andy told me the story of a British Soldier whose remains had been discovered at serre in 2003, and that amongst his possedcions were coins from Jersey, my home. Whilist everyone might not be lucky enough to be informed and inspired by the man himself, this book will run a close second. I trawled through so many language learning games books whilst training on the CELTA course and didn't come across this book until almost the end and it is by far the best book I have found. If you are going to invest in just one book to generate lesson ideas then I definately recommend this one. There are so many adaptable tasks and activities which are not the recycled run-of-the-mill mundane ones you usually find.

.Wonders of Egypt: A Course in Egyptology

I recently bought this product for my eleven year old daughter and she loves it. I myself, could not stop looking at the intricate pictures and flaps. I do feel though that its predecessor, Egyptology: Search For the Tomb of Osiris is just the bit more beautiful but a stunning read, nonetheless!
