This is an indispensable companion if walking the Thames Path, and if you are taking only one book along with you, it should be this one. Others, such as Turner's one on pubs, the National Trail Companion, and the Imray map, are helpful, but you can get along without them if you have this.

Detailed OS maps are included for every step of the way, with the relevant text on the same page. The text itself gives very clear directions, fills you in on local history and landmarks, and points out pubs and other places of refreshment. The balance is just right.

This book is not bedtime reading. It's a crutch when you start to study unfamiliar or forgotten subjects. Going back to study in middle age I found that the clear and concise descriptions in the book made studying significantly easier, as the language used is plain and simple. At any level of study this book is a useful tool, especially as you get older and the memory fades. especially as you get older and the memory fades.

Having read and watched so many KISS books and Video's over the years I was not gonna buy this one as hearing about Wicked Lester (yadayadayada) and hearing Gene and Pauls version only for the 100th time didnt appeal BUT.........I gave in and got it and am glad I did!
This book really gives you and insight into the albums - the song by song commentary by all involved is fantastic. Ace, Peter, Vinnie, Mark, Bruce all get a look in..and Paul and Gene really give a true and authentic view.
I really felt it gave a true feel for the personalities involved - how any of them played with Peter Criss is beyond me(sorry Catman fans)......
A must for all KISS Army fan and periherals - it really is a great read.

This is an excellent book for people with an interest in HCI. Preece has brought in ideas from everywhere and has presented a non-biased and informative resource that can be used from the hobbyist to the practitioner without translation.
The most useful feature of the book - apart from the plethora of varied opinions and information on new HCI technology - has to be that it has been written in English. Simple, honest-to-goodness plain English. Thank you!
If you are a teacher, software engineer, hobbyist or designer, I defy you to find a better laid out, organised or presented resource.

This book doesnt take that long to read, no major heavy text but its nicely done, the artwork is great, and the dialogue is truly just like the original series used to talk to each other..."hes dead jim"
