.Rapid French: 200+ Essential Words and Phrases Anchored into Your Long Term Memory with Great Music: vol. 2: v. 2 by: Earworms Musical Brain Trainer, Marlon Lodge August 31, 2006 I couldn't do languages at school, wasn't bad at other things, but with languages I always had a kind of block in the brain. But having a partner and his family who spoke French made me try to learn as an adult, and this has truly helped me. I'm not going to tell you that I'm suddenly fluent, but listening to this CD made me realise that I could do it. I learnt the whole CD after several listenings and felt a real achivement, and it spurred me on to learn more (I went onto Michel Thomas who is great). I'm actually enjoying language learning now which I didn't before, and it was because this CD made French accessible to me, if not providing a huge range of vocab. .Rapid Greek: 200+ Essential Words and Phrases Anchored into Your Long Term Memory with Great Music: v. 2 (Earworms) by: Earworms Musical Brain Trainer, Marlon Lodge August 31, 2006 Volume 1 has already been useful - my wife, daughter and myself were in Greece a couple of months ago and having even limited skills in the language totally changed the attitude of the locals towards us! Christine (daughter) was a great hit around the town we were staying in as she was the only British child who had any skills at all in the language. The Rosetta Stone system is pretty good (and goes further) - but for pain free and quick learning of basics of a language at sensible prices, I'm really impressed with the Earworms method! Volume 2 expands on vol 1 - although it can mostly be used standalone, you'll want some of the parts from Vol 1 - particularly the numbers track. This volume leads you into talking ... .Rapid Chinese: 200+ Essential Words and Phrases Anchored into Your Long Term Memory with Great Music: v. 2 by: Earworms Musical Brain Trainer, Marlon Lodge August 31, 2006 I very much enjoyed the learning experience and found it stuck but then when speaking to Chinese (mandarin speakers) they couldn't understand me. The tape doesn't focus on the tones and intonations needed for Mandarin. I switched to a Harold Goodman audiobook and found I was much more understood because of the focus on the correct intonations.
