Brilliant book, dreadfully abridged, shamefully read.
I felt there was no need to abridge this brilliant book, but then the reading just adds insult to injury.
There are other unabridged versions available and substantially better well read...sorry, but don't touch it!

Statistics can be a difficult subject to grasp, and i searched for a while for a comprehensive book to help me understand the Lecture material.

In introdution to medical statistics is simply a fantastic book. It is well worded, and presented in a logical and coherent manner. Although slightly daunting at first, being a relitavely large book, it makes use of simple language and cleverly placed diagrams to assist the reader.

This book is suitable for students entering into any type of medical degree, or for anyone with an interests in the way medical studies are conducted today. It assumes very little prior knowledge.

All in all, a great book, well worth the money

.Uncle Cleans Up (New York Review Children's Collection)

This hardback reissue is of the same high standard as the New York Review's previous reprint of Uncle - it's a facsimile of the original first edition, as far as I can tell, and really does full justice to Quentin Blake's illustrations.

It goes without saying that I'm a huge fan of this magical series of books about Uncle, the millionaire elephant and his slightly surreal castle of Homeward, and his constant battles with Beaver Hateman and the rest of his nefarious gang at Badfort. Now, thanks to these reissues, my daughter is enjoying them too.

For those unfamiliar with the series, the first two books have had a couple of reissues (in paperback) before, but these New York Review versions are far superior. However, will the 'missing' four ... Read More:

A great book that proved to be an invaluable start point for many of the topics on my Marine Biology degree. The process and systems sections were particularly helpful. The information was presented in a clear and easy to understand way and the diagrams/photos really helped with the explanations. Well worth the money.
