Whilst the previous volume was a narrative history, this one is a book of sources. This means it probably won't interest the casual reader as much as the first volume, but it is a must for the student.

All the sources are well chosen, and provide depth as well as variety. If you're new to the field, then this book will be your introduction to lots of the primary sources which you may want to go and research in greater detail. This makes it a good starting point to use when researching for an essay, and will lead you to the rest of your bibliography.

This book is the first stop for the student, and possibly the only stop needed for the casual reader wanting to know more about Roman religion.

In an easily readable and highly enjoyable style (far removed from the weighty and dull style that marks so many classics books) the authors successfully lay out Roman religion from its dark origins to the rise of Christianity, covering and discussing a multitude of issues.

The notes, giving the student references to all the ancient sources, are at the bottom of the page. Personally, endnotes are the bane of my life - I hate having to constantly turn to the back of the book whilst trying to read - and so I was really rather pleased by this.

This was (I believe) the first book to market on Operations Manager 2007. The product is huge and requires a varied skill set. This book was very poor at explaining the overall idea of Operations Manager 2007 and jumped around rather than taking things step by step and building upon previous content. Try the Operations Manager 2007 Unleashed book instead - there's lot of it but it does make the effort to teach the required concepts.

.Riley: The Legendary RMs

If you want to acquire a book on Riley Motor's post-war cars (known now though not at the time as the RM-series) there is a choice of two. The first choice would be James Taylor's "Riley RM-Series" published by Motor Racing Publications in 1990 (ISBN 0-947981-36-5). This is now out of print but at least one Amazon re-seller currently (January 2007) has a copy. This earlier book does not even figure in the bibliography in this new book by John Price Williams.

Taylor's earlier book is more comprehensive, particularly on the drophead and roadster models and specialised coachwork on Riley chassis. However, if you do have space for a second RM book this would be a worthwhile addition to your library. It is also considerably cheaper than the earlier book ... Read More:
