.Damaged Goods by: June Hampson February 26, 2008 Love the way June Hampson weaves the story line between books and leaves you with a will she won't she will he won't he.... If i had to be critical regarding Damaged Goods it would only be due to Daisy's relationship with Roy Kemp. At the end of Broken Bodies they had just married and were so in love yet in Damaged Goods we hardly get the relationship between them and i don't feel that Daisy gave him a chance. But hey ho that is the only comment i could make and i can't wait for the next book. This is my favourite author at the moment and my copies are moving round the office i work in fast! .Broken Bodies by: June Hampson February 21, 2008 I didn't find this book entertaining. The first 100 pages were boring and I only perservered because i was interested in the gangster characters ie the Krays etc featuring. I thought the style was peculiarly old fashioned and the characters just didn't gel for me. The likes of prostitutes, gangsters, boxers, paedaohiles and, market holders did not sit well with the plot. Sorry but i was deeply unimpressed. I would not recommend the book to anyone who enjoys a well constructed thriller such s written by James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, etc, its simply not in the same league. The only pleasing thing is that I swapped the book for another i had read at Hotel whilst on holiday ! so happy not to have forked out any money for it >>See More Reviews & Details on Broken Bodies |
