Found this pack really useful. It has helped me to get started on spanish and I have found the book gives interesting information about life in Spain/South American. Answers are all in the back so think this is a good pack if you want to start learning Spanish without a class.

the CDs are definately needed to go with the book, I have ripped the CDs into mp3s, so that I can transport them around in my Iriver HP140, it saves me taking the CDs with me...

only one tip, you must keep at the language to learn it, 2 hours 2 or 3 times a week, every week...and you will soon get a good grasp of it.

Spannish by Micheal Thomas is a good set of CDs too..

I am using the cassette on it's own so that my listening skills can be improved. The BBC World Spanish cassette is absolutely excellent. They use speakers from all Spanish speaking countries so that you can get used to a range of accents and dialects. I have previously used BBC The French Experience book and cassette and that too was very good. Before buying the World Spanish cassette, I had pre-conceived ideas about Spanish language thinking that it was too difficult to learn, but this cassette has proved me wrong.
