.Shriver and Atkins Inorganic Chemistry

Im not sure what changes are made to this book from the previous edition but the last edition was just okay for an undergraduate textbook. The Shriver and Atkins series are excellent at most fields of chemistry but falls down somewhat at Inorganic chemistry with this book in particular.

The book is very good for concepts but does not describe things as well as the Housecroft Inorganic Book does. This would be more of a reference book than a good all round book to learn from.

The book does paint a slightly over optimistic interpretation of Melbourne. However, lived in and visted many cities and area's throughout Australia including Melbourne many times I do believe it is a great city with much to offer. I have yet to meet someone who didn't enjoy their stay.

It doesn't have the icon's of Sydney but strip those away and Sydney begins to look dated and tired. Melbourne as a city excels in proviging it's residents with a generally pleasant place to live and shows far more sign of improving itself that most other cities I have visited around the work with an unrelenting building programme. It is fine city with a huge amount to offer. It's a shame so many visitors simply make it only as far as Sydney ... Read More:
