This was a very good ending for the imperial trilogy. It linked in well with the Darkweaver books, as it included some familiar characters. I enjoyed the whole series and look forward to mor from Mark Robson.

This book is absolutely brilliant!!!! I read it in about five days as I was so hooked. This really is a un-put-down-able book! I enjoyed the first book greatly and had to get the new one. This is a book well worth buying, as it is one you would want to read again and again! I cannot wait for the next book the "Imperial Traitor" which is going to be even better! These books are a fantastic series and I will be reading his other series shortly! I am able to say that Mark Robson is one of my favourite authors! His style of writing and language is very good and enjoyable to read. I really loved this book. If you fancy adventure and magic then this is a great book to read. Brilliant Book. Met the man himself, a fascinating guy, signed my copy for me!
Highly recommended easy-to-read fantasy / adventure style. Aimed at children, but I'm 19 at university and I loved it! Doesn't give the plot away in the first 20 pages which is nice, features a female lead which works brilliantly. Something a bit different from what you might expect from this type of read, makes a nice change! I am looking forward to his second in this series, which I just bought today!

This is my favourite of the four books.I liked when Calvyn shut Selkor into the realm of the gods, it was a very satisfying end to the Darkweaver Legacy.........although when it said "the end...for now", it has filled me with anticipation for more!!

this book kept me awake till 1am till my eyes wouldnt focus so i had to sleep. it all adds up at the end, the plot as calyvn falls for jenna but doesn't want to and its full of supsense and thrill and i couldnt put it down. although i think the series is finished im drastically hoping im wrong.
an excellent read sutiable for anyone and i suggest u read it immeadiatly.

I was one with Calvyn's surrounding as I grew up in the countryside surrounded by a stream, fish, trees, simplicity and kind people. As I read on, I began to get attached to Calvyn, Perdimonn, Calvyn's friends and the adventure. Training at Baron's camp was pretty tough and the vengeful little plot of Recruit Garth was written so well because I could not imagine how Calvyn was going to get out of it to prove his innocence. The flogging was pretty grim; I felt sick of the images the reading was creating in my mind because it was so vivid ... finally enjoying the message I heard: good winning over evil.

This book will serve students of modern Italy very well. Its judgements are reliable, and it has useful diagrams summarising key arguments. Perhaps it could have found room to say a bit more about the interaction between the monarchs and political leaders of the period (rarely positive for the national interest), the enduring disaffection in the south, and Mussolini's increasing lack of grip over events in the later years of his rule.

The trials of Bek and Jez in the arena in Shandrim are really exciting. The book also has sadness with the loss of one of the main characters. Selkor gets three of the keys of power. I hate getting to the end of the book because I want to know more of the story. (review by Cameron Robertson age 11)
