Yes, it's in French a bit, however the majority of the book deals in symbols, and there are English translations of the symbols, so it's universally understandable. Also, if your French isn't up to understanding the few words contained here, or if you can't use a French dictionary, I'd suggest you'll have trouble filling up with petrol at a French village service station, or staying clear of cheval at a restaurant, for example. We used the Michelin guide 10 years ago for France, and it was invaluable then. This one is similar in the information it contains, and the number of sites it lists.
